1948 Studebaker M15A Pickup Truck T-Shirt
The 1948 M15A was Studebaker’s rugged one-ton pickup, and 1948 was the final model year of the distinctive M-series truck. It combined the rounded, streamlined prewar M-series styling with a substantially heavier chassis, suspension, wheels and brakes than the more familiar half-ton M5. The "A" is particularly significant. Studebaker resumed civilian one-ton production in 1945 using an M15 fitted with the wartime-style C9 cab and swing-out windshield. For 1946, the regular C2 cab returned, with fixed windshield glass, and Studebaker renamed the truck M15A to distinguish it from those 1945 trucks. The M15A designation continued through 1948.
