Shelby dubbed it “the Cobra to end all Cobras,” because its performance and engineering were intentionally extreme for the time. It featured a 427 cu in V8 engine with twin Paxton superchargers achieving an estimated 800 hp - astronomical for a 1960s road-legal sports car.
