It was unveiled at the GM Motorama in New York City, and just 300 cars were hand-built. It was powered by a 235 cu in Blue Flame inline-six engine with triple Carter carburetors, producing 150 horsepower. Its fiberglass construction, revolutionary at the time, helped keep weight down and gave the car its sleek curves.
