1954 Nash Metropolitan Hardtop T-shirt
The 1954 Nash Metropolitan Hardtop was one of the most unconventional American-market cars of the 1950s. Conceived by Nash as a small, economical second car for suburban and city use, it was American-designed but built in England by Austin. At only about 12½ feet long, the Metropolitan looked almost miniature beside contemporary American sedans, yet it carried unmistakably 1950s styling with two-tone paint, chrome trim, whitewalls, and a rear-mounted “continental” spare tire.
