The 1957 Nomad was Chevy’s premium two-door “sport wagon” and one of the most distinctive members of the Tri-Five Chevy family. It combined the practicality of a station wagon with Bel Air-level trim, two-door hardtop-inspired styling, dramatic rear roof pillars, wraparound rear glass, ribbed tailgate/roof detailing, and lots of chrome. The '57 model year brought the now-famous 283-cid small-block V8, and higher-performance versions included dual-quad carburetion and Rochester Ramjet fuel injection.
