Banksy’s New York Clock Rat is a 2018 street artwork painted on the clock of the former Greenwich Savings Bank at West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, showing a rat running inside the clock face like a hamster wheel. The artist's rat stencils often appear in his art as symbols of urban decay. Often depicted in a humorous or ironic way, these rats represent the idea that these creatures are the only ones thriving in the decaying urban landscape.
